Y’all request Cacio e Pepe SO much in my DMs. Like, seriously every day I get at least a few messages requesting it. Recently I teamed up with Treeline Cheeses to create some amazing recipes & while brainstorming what I could make… their sea salt & pepper soft cheese seemed like the perfect thing to transform into a Cacio e Pepe. And y’all… let me tell you it’s PERFECT and the dang closest thing I’ve ever tasted to a non vegan Cacio e Pepe.

Alright, let’s stop wasting time & get right into the recipe! Here’s what you’ll need to make it:

  • 1 tub Salt & Pepper Treeline Cheese 
  • 1/8 cup freshly cracked black pepper (or more to taste) 
  • 3/4 pound spaghetti 
  • 2-4 cups pasta water 
  • Salt to taste 
  • Vegan parmesan for garnish 

And here’s how to make it! Trust me it is SO dang easy.

  1. Put a pot of very well salted water on the stove and bring to a boil. Once boiling, add in your spaghetti. 
  2. In a deep skillet, add your Salt & Pepper Treeline Cheese, black pepper, and pasta water.  Whisk until well combined over low heat.  You want this to be semi thin, just enough to coat the back of a spoon.  
  3. Add your cooked pasta directly from the pot into the sauce and toss to combine. Add salt to taste if needed. 
  4. Transfer to a plate & top with more black pepper and parmesan cheese. 

See I told you, I promise it’s sooooo easy to make & that you’ll fall in love instantly.  Like. Super fucking instantly.

This VEGAN Cacio e Pepe is the pasta of your dreams!
