Barbecue Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza

I think most people assume that making pizza at home is super difficult, but it’s really much easier than you think! And with not a whole lot of vegan pizza selections everywhere, why not make some insane ones topping wise, right at home?! This Barbecue Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza is truly what dreams are made of & is SO easy to put together!

This post is sponsored by Alpha Foods! If you haven’t heard of them, now you have! They make some of the MOST AMAZING frozen vegan products on the market, ranging from frozen burritos, tamales, pot pies, etc.- to chicken nuggets, and other vegan meats. And the quality is top notch. Even their frozen burritos when microwaved hold together, don’e explode, and the tortilla never gets that weird rubbery texture- plus they’re actually LOADED with filling.

You can find their products here https://alphaplantbased.com/, and I just want to give a huge thanks to Alpha for collaborating with me on this post and many more to come! I’m so excited to show y’all how easy it is to upgrade these frozen items into full blown meals.

Here’s what you’ll need to make this beauty!

  • Pizza dough or crust
  • ½ cup barbecue sauce or more if desired
  • 1 package Alpha Foods Beefy Crumbles
  • 1 package vegan bacon
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • Sesame seeds to cover the crust
  • Sliced red onion
  • Vegan mozzarella & cheddar cheese shreds
  • Fresh cilantro
  • Vegan ranch dressing

And here’s how you make it!

  1. Add some oil to a pan over medium heat & add in your beefy crumbles. Once they start to brown, add your mustard and ketchup. Cook until crispy, then set aside.
  2. Chop up your vegan bacon into bits & cook that in a little oil in the same pan, set aside.
  3. Depending on what pizza dough you’re using, you might need to par bake it before adding toppings, if you do, add the sesame seeds to the crust with a little oil to adhere them at this stage.
  4. Add your barbecue sauce to the pizza crust, then top with a mix of mozzarella and cheddar cheese. Add your beefy crumbles, bacon, and sliced red onion. Bake according to dough instructions, then broil for a few minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  5. Top with a swirl of vegan ranch dressing & some fresh cilantro once it comes out of the oven! Serve with extra ranch for dipping.
Some notes-
  • Feel free to use gluten free versions of the beef, bacon, and pizza crust to make this fully gluten free!
  • Add shredded lettuce & pickles on top for that extra cheeseburger experience.

Super easy, super delicious, and the perfect thing for any occasion (even binge watching tv on the couch).
