Looking for something to spice up your #tacotuesday ? These chorizo tostadas are just the thing! Piled high with all of your favorite toppings, how could you go wrong! Also we’re making our “own” chorizo today, which is awesome because now you can turn any vegan sausage you find into chorizo if you desire.

This post is sponsored by Alpha Foods! If you haven’t heard of them, now you have! They make some of the MOST AMAZING frozen vegan products on the market, ranging from frozen burritos, tamales, pot pies, etc.- to chicken nuggets, and other vegan meats. And the quality is top notch. Even their frozen burritos when microwaved hold together, don’e explode, and the tortilla never gets that weird rubbery texture- plus they’re actually LOADED with filling.
You can find their products here https://alphaplantbased.com/, and I just want to give a huge thanks to Alpha for collaborating with me on this post and many more to come! I’m so excited to show y’all how easy it is to upgrade these frozen items into full blown meals.

Let’s talk Chorizo first shall we? The Alpha Foods Sausage Crumbles are absolutely delicious as is… but adding a few simple spices and ingredients can transform it into a tangy, spicy, and incredible chorizo. Here’s how you do it!
- 1 package Alpha Foods Sausage Crumbles
- 1 tbsp finely chopped chipotles with equal amounts adobo
- ½ tbsp smoked paprika
- ¼ tbsp cumin
- Salt to taste
- ¼ tbsp oregano
- 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
- ½ lime, juiced
- In a pan over medium heat, add some oil along with your sausage crumbles. Once they start to slightly brown, add in all of your other ingredients.
- Stir to combine & cooking until browned and fragrant.

For the rest of your tostada, here’s what you’ll need / how to make it!
- Shredded lettuce
- Refried black beans
- Vegan cheese (we used Follow Your Heart Feta, which tastes like cotija cheese)
- Sliced avocado
- Fresh cilantro
- Chipotle salsa
- Lime wedges
- Tostadas
- Warm your tostadas in the oven & heat up your refried beans.
- Spread some beans on your tostadas then add your chorizo, and whatever toppings you’d like!
The toppings here are SUPER versatile. Want to use cabbage instead of lettuce? Go for it! Think cilantro tastes like soap? Skip it. Want to use guacamole instead of avocado slices? Do it! Add whatever YOU personally want on top! These are just my favorite toppings.

Super easy, super delicious, and the perfect thing for Taco Tuesday.
Once again I want to give a big thank you to Alpha Foods for sponsoring this post and allowing me to create some really amazing recipes for you guys.
