There are cinnamon roll recipes popping up all over the internet right now, and while they’re delicious, I wanted to put a bit of a spin on the classic cinnamon roll and bring you these… Puff Pastry Gingerbread Rolls with Cream Cheese Icing. They’re seriously the flakiest, most delicious holiday treat. Trust me, you’ll fall head over heals for them- especially once you find out how easy they are to make.

I’m really excited to announce that this recipe is in collaboration with Follow Your Heart! They’re one of my favorite brands, and I’ve gotten so many requests to make more recipes using their products from y’all, since they’re so accessible across the US. The product I used in this recipe is their Vegan Cream Cheese. It’s so dang good and really sends this recipe over the top.

Remove your puff pastry from the freezer and allow to thaw (it should still be cold, but be pliable. Connect 3 sheets of them together to create one long sheet of puff pastry, crimping the seams between each sheet with your fingers to connect them. Once you have that ready, spread your room temperature butter evenly all over the puff pastry. In a separate bowl, mix together your coconut sugar, salt, & spices until well combined. Sprinkle that evenly over the puff pastry and roll it up like you would normal cinnamon rolls. I use dental floss to cut the rolls, but cut them into about 1″ thick slices.

Place them on a parchment lined baking tray, with a decent amount of space between each roll (these will definitely grow in size). Bake them according to your puff pastries baking instructions, but add an additional 2 minutes to the cooking time. Remove from the oven and allow to cool until they’re just barely warm to the touch. While they’re cooling, make your icing by mixing together your room temperature cream cheese, powdered sugar, and almond milk until a thick icing is formed. Drizzle it over top of the barely warm rolls, and serve.

See I told you, I promise they’re sooooo easy to make & that you’ll fall in love instantly.
But that’s it! Super easy, super delicious, and definitely something amazing to make for the holidays (or really any day, let’s be honest). Once again, I just want to give a big thanks to Follow Your Heart for sponsoring this recipe and allowing me to share it with y’all! It’s truly delicious. As always, if you make this, make sure to tag me @plvntfood / #plvntfood and tag @followyourheart as well, so we can all see it! Love y’all with my cold little heart.
