Every Holiday party needs some kind of alcoholic beverage… right? Even if you don’t drink alcohol personally, you know that someone at your party does & this sangria is a showstopper with any crowd. With warming cinnamon & spiced rum, slightly spicy ginger ale, crisp apple cider, and sweet brown sugar, this sangria is the perfect fall beverage!
This is super easy to make, the longest part is just waiting for everything to sit and let all the flavors melt together! You’re going to start out by mixing together your red wine, spiced rum, apple cider, & brown sugar in a large pitcher until the sugar is dissolved. Then add in your cinnamon sticks, and pop in the fridge for at least 2 hours, but preferably overnight.
Right before serving, add in your ginger ale (make sure to mix well), as well as your sliced green apples & oranges. You want to add the ginger ale right before you serve, because otherwise it will go flat by the time you serve it which is no fun. I like to garnish each glass with a cinnamon stick as well, just to enhance the flavor a bit, plus it’s like a fun festive straw!
And that’s it! I told you guys this was an easy one! This is great because it’s something you can make the day before, so it’s one less thing you actually have to prepare on the day of your holiday party! It also is nice because it gives your guests something to sip on while you’re prepping all the other food. I hope you guys really enjoyed this recipe, and that you all have a safe & happy holiday season with your loved ones. Remember to always drink responsibly!
